baRock Obama
I have always admired the work of Milton Glaser. People who do not know of him, he is the man who designed the I ♥ NY logo.
In !967 Glaser completed a poster for Bob Dylan. The poster was inspired by a self-portrait of Marcel Duchamp and Islamic painting; Dylan was shown in silhouette with a shock of wavy psychedelic hair that perfectly captured the times and the singer’s counterculture message.
With Obama inspiring the young and old nationwide, and being compared to a rock star, in my mind, a forty year old poster changed its forms slightly and took on a new message.
